Megan Whitney, PhD Megan received her BA from Macalester College and her PhD from University of Washington. Megan's love for biodiversity and evolutionary history inspired her to become a paleontologist and she loves sharing her enthusiasm with students in the classroom and lab. In addition to all things paleo, Megan enjoys baking, hiking, camping, and hanging out with her dog Moxie.
Alex Acker
Alex is a Master's student from Clinton, Mississippi. He received his BS in Biological Sciences from Ohio University. Alex is studying gorgonopsian fossils from the late Permian of Zambia and is working on anatomical descriptions and paleohistological questions about these mammalian forerunners.
Kara Ehler
Kara is a Junior from Kalamazoo, Michigan, pursuing a degree in Anthropology with interests in bio anthropology and paleontology. In the Whitney Lab, Kara is working on identifying and histologically sectioning mammals that she helped collect from the White River Formation in Wyoming during the summer of 2023. Her data collection will help to inform intraskeletal variation in histology as well as the life histories of White River Fm. mammals.

Natalie Kaytor
Natalie is a Junior from Maplewood Minnesota, majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. Natalie is an LUC Biology Research Fellow with her project focusing on early tetrapods and their transition to terrestrially. After her undergrad work, Natalie hopes to pursue a graduate degree. In her free time, she likes to read, spend time with friends, and listen to music.
Pranati Sukh
Pranati is a Junior from Naperville, Illinois. She is a Bioinformatics major minoring in Information Systems. Pranati is currently working on using comparative phylogenetic methods to examine how synapsid teeth evolved across the Permo-Triassic Mass Extinction. In her free time, Pranati enjoys playing the piano, working out, cooking, and reading!
Eduardo Garcia
Eduardo is a Junior with an avid interest in ecology and evolution. He has been a fossil admirer for over a decade which has led to his pursuits in paleobiological research. Eduardo has worked on the bone histology of Antarctic and South African therapsids as well as micro-fossils from the Late Cretaceous Lance Formation of Wyoming. He enjoys going on long runs, creating video essays, and eating cookie dough ice cream!
